Company Validating a European Patent in Poland
I met with the Managing Director of an engineering company regarding validating a European Patent in Poland. The company’s UK patent attorneys were instructing their associates in Hungary, Italy and Poland to proceed with the validation of a European patent for the engineering company. In order to proceed in Poland a Power of Attorney authorising the patent agents to act on behalf of the company had to be signed by the Managing Director in my presence and have a notarial certificate attached by me confirming that the director was a director of the company and therefore authorised under English law to sign the valid Power of Attorney.
