Notarising proof of life for Italian and Austrian pension claim
A local man worked for an international company and in the course of his employment over many years he had worked for them in both Italy and Austria (paying local income taxes). He retired over 10 years ago and I see him annually to countersign his “Certificate of Life” documents for each country so that he continues to receive his state pension from each country that he worked in as well as his UK state pension and his company pension. The Italian and Austrian authorities will only accept he is still alive if a Notary Public has certified that he is still “alive and kicking” !
